OpenAI has extended its budget-friendly ChatGPT Go subscription to 16 additional countries across Asia — including Pakistan — making advanced AI tools like GPT-5 more accessible to a broader audience.

The announcement came from ChatGPT executive Nick Torley, who shared the news on the social media platform X. He noted that the expansion was a direct response to consistent user demand for a lower-cost subscription option.

With this rollout, ChatGPT Go is now offered in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, East Timor, Vietnam, and Pakistan. The plan was initially introduced earlier this year in India and Indonesia.

According to OpenAI, the goal of ChatGPT Go is to provide wider access to its most advanced AI model — GPT-5 — without the higher price tag. Subscribers to ChatGPT Go receive all the features of the free version, along with additional benefits like image generation, file uploading, enhanced data analysis tools, and increased usage limits.

In Pakistan, ChatGPT Go is priced at just Rs. 1,400 per month. For comparison, ChatGPT Plus costs Rs. 5,700, ChatGPT Pro comes in at Rs. 49,900, and the Business Plan is available for Rs. 8,499 per month.

This move is expected to greatly benefit users in Pakistan who are looking for premium AI capabilities at a more affordable price point.
